MEET DONNA

BIOGRAPHY: by Danny Kramer of AMG/Capitol
Donna Jackson hails from the great state of Georgia where she was raised in the small rural town of Rincon, GA. She is the daughter of Tom and Faye Jackson of Midway, GA. Donna was born in Jacksonville, N.C. at the Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital where her Father, Tom Jackson served in the United States Marine Corp. She now resides in Midway, GA. and is the proud Mother of three beautiful children, Phillip, Brooke and David and occasionally they sing with their Mom in Concert.  Donna was raised by Christian Parents and was saved at the age of seven. She started singing at the early age of 5 in her Grandmother’s church in Savannah, GA.  As a teenager, she began to write and sing her own music while learning to play the piano. As an adult, God has helped Donna overcome many obstacles of abuse and deep emotional pain, which inspired her to write her current single, "Rescue Me", from the album of the same title.

Her new album includes 13 Gospel songs, 6 of the 13 songs she wrote from past experiences. One of Donna’s selections on her album is “The Star Spangled Banner”.  She has performed the National Anthem for the Soldiers and their families of the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA, at Baseball games, Karate Tournaments, and many Special Events.  The album was produced by Danny Kramer and Brad Hudson of AMG/Capitol Enterprises and is on the Capitol Red River, Label Roster. Her first release, "Rescue Me" was shipped to radio in September, 2006.  “Rescue Me” is now gaining National airplay and special attention at major stations across the United States.  Danny Kramer, a close friend and producer of the album stated, "This is truly one of the most gorgeous and inspiring songs that I have ever heard.  "Rescue Me" can fit in any Inspirational or Southern Gospel format. Donna performs this personal song and testimony with the same conviction and spirit that inspired her to write this song of inspiration. Her album is amazingly powerful and spirited".

Donna travels to concerts across the United States and Canada and she has performed on the Trinity Broadcast Network, the Inspiration Network, Celebrate Savannah, and she opened for the late Vestel Goodman, one of Gospel Music’s legends. Donna’s not only a singer/songwriter, she’s been involved in the Martial Arts for over 23 years and she’s presently involved with the sport on a National basis as an official judge for the National Black Belt League (NBL) World Karate Games. Donna had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Karate World Games and perform at many major Karate events, including the Living Legends Banquet in Atlantic City, NJ with "Super Foot" Bill Wallace, Master Bob Wall (Co-star with the late Bruce Lee) and Bernard Kirk. (NYC Chief of Police during the World Trade Center attacks/President Bush's first Homeland Security choice)  She was asked to write a song for the Martial Arts Living Legends and her original “Living Legend” is on her new album and this song is dedicated to all the Karate Legends including Actor Chuck Norris, Actor Bob Wall, Mr. Gary Lee, and Lt. Gary Glemboski, Donna’s Instructor, to name a few.  I can see Donna loves the Lord and she’s excited about the ministry God has placed on her life.
